Ed was born in Walnut Creek, CA and his parents moved the family to Hawthorne in 1957. Ed has 5 sisters and 2 brothers. He attended El Segundo High School and graduated in 1971. Ed attended El Camino College and graduated from Irvine University/College of Law. Ed played on both the El Segundo 1969 Babe Ruth World Championship team and the El Segundo 1971 CIF Championship team. Out of high school Ed was drafted and played professional baseball with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers organization from 1971 through 1980. Besides traveling extensively in the United States while playing baseball, Ed had the opportunity to live in Mexico and Canada during his baseball career. After the baseball career ended he lived in Massachusetts from 1980 through 1985. In 1985 he relocated to Torrance and he still resides there. Ed is a retired Federal Government Police Officer - 21 years of service. Ed volunteers his spare time to baseball programs in the South Bay as a coach. For the last 4 years he has organized the Annual El Segundo Alumni Baseball Game that is played every year in May at the El Segundo Recreation Park (John Stevenson Field). Ed is a Realtor at REAL ESTATE WEST in Manhattan Beach and holds a Broker License with the company. He is a member of the Association of Professional Ballplayers of America, Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, South Bay Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the Greater South Bay Regional Multiple Listing Service.
