Mission Statement
The Manhattan Beach Chamber is an association of businesses, other entities and individuals organized to encourage a strong local economy and quality of life by promoting commerce, sound government and an informed membership and community.
Vision Statement
The Chamber will be the acknowledged leader in enhancing business, education and development through a cooperative link of community spirit. As we move into the 21st century, all area businesses and organizations will consider membership an investment in their success.
The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce has realized significant membership growth in the past several years in a business climate of tremendous competition for people’s time and involvement. Total membership was 367 in 1999 and reached 765 in 2005. In an effort to stay on this positive path and to protect the successes of the organization, the MBCC has developed this strategic plan with the intent it will serve as a “roadmap” for future leadership.

President's Message What is the best chamber of commerce in the country? It's right here in Manhattan Beach! What makes our Chamber so special? Our members! We are extremely fortunate to have an enthusiastic group of business and community leaders who comprise our membership. They are committed to the goals of the organization and to each other, and they demonstrate loyalty, support and a spark in all that they do on behalf of the organization. They respect each other and their respective businesses, and they unselfishly work together to enhance opportunities for each other. Their individual businesses grow as they are active helping other members to grow their businesses. Our members show a strong commitment to integrating business in a positive way throughout the community. Chamber members are actively engaged in outreach to many important parts of the greater community, ranging from the students in our schools to seniors to individuals undergoing challenging circumstances. They recognize the need for business to make a positive difference. Our Chamber is the best because our members are the best! Helen Duncan President / CEO Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce |
