DeAnn Flores Chase, founder of South Bay Business Lawyers, has been in virtually every courthouse in Southern California. For over 10 years, she has defended individuals and businesses of all sizes against a multitude of claims. In 2007, DeAnn started her own law firm in order to work with businesses close to her home – and close to her heart. South Bay Business Lawyers helps entrepreneurs at every level of their business, from the planning stages through dissolution. “I advise business owners to have their exit plan in place before they start their business,” DeAnn says from her office in Manhattan Beach. According to DeAnn, every entrepreneur should do business through a business entity, such as a corporation or LLC, to protect themselves and their families. DeAnn also believes that there is no such thing as a “form” contract or partnership agreement. “Truly, one size does not fi t all. I have seen too many lawsuits come from situations where people do not spend the time or money necessary to be sure they have a valid, defensible, agreement. The money ‘saved’ by not hiring an attorney now can cost you hundreds or thousands of dollars later, not to mention the stress of litigation.”
DeAnn strives to bring customer service to the law by providing responsive, one-on-one, client service. At South Bay Business Lawyers, clients will not receive a bill when they call to ask DeAnn a question about their business. “I don’t want my clients to be afraid to call me. I would much rather they call me before they sign that lease or franchise agreement, rather than wait until after the damage has been done.”
As a South Bay resident for almost 15 years, DeAnn believes in “keeping our business local” by providing local referrals to key business resources.
